This "Beach Box" bungalow on Martin Street has one of the best locations in Kill Devil Hills for close and convenient access to the beach, grocery stores, drug stores, shopping and eateries. It is literally right in the middle of the OBX, and it's only a 2 min. walk straight to the beach.
It is an owner managed, very clean, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, single story, 'Smoke Free' beach bungalow located in Kill Devil Hills, NC at Mile Post 9 just 2 tons back from the Beach Road. During the peak summer weeks we rent by the week only - from Sunday to Sunday. During the off season the bungalow is available on a nightly basis with a 3 nighttime minimum. KEY NOTES
Each year we keep making improvements to the property to give our tenants a well maintained home for their summer vacation.

I) This past fall we installed a new sod lawn (with irrigation system)....to eliminate those nasty sand spurs that reek havoc on kids's bare feet. And we installed new flower beds in the front and rear of the lot. We also installed a new dishwasher

The year before we installed new carpet in the bungalow. The year before that a new upgraded all vinyl deck with rain scape system to keep the mid level deck out of the rain. Before that ....a new washer and dryer. Before that a new bespoke outdoor shower.

We are constantly upgrading and improving the bungalow for all to appreciate.


OTHER PROPERTY DETAILS
1) The Kitchen is completely supplied with all the appliances, kitchenware and silverware you will ever need during your vacation.....and also has an assortment of seasonings and spices for you to use.

2) The Living Area includes comfortable seating for 7 with a 40” intelligent HDTV, with streaming video via Youtube TV and Netflix.

3) The Master Bedroom suite includes a queen sized bed, HDTV, and a full sized bath with tiled floor and walk-in tiled shower

4) The two hall bedrooms have a queen sized bed in one and a set of bunk beds and twin bed in the other. Both have 32" HDTV's with streaming video via YoutubeTV on each.

5) The hall bathroom is full sized with a tiled floor and tub/shower combination with tiled walls

6) The home comes with either wired or wireless internet and streaming video TV as described above.

7) The first level deck in the back of the home includes a cozy two person swing, Adirondack chairs, a bespoke picnic table, and an under drain system to keep the deck dry so you can have an outdoor picnic on a rainy day

8) The second level deck in the back of the home provides a view of the ocean and plenty of lounge chairs for calming or sunbathing

9) The ground floor under the bungalow provides ample room for off street parking, a second picnic table, garden hoses, gas grille and anew bespoke outdoor shower.

10) The tenant storage closet on the ground floor has beach chairs and umbrellas, body boards and beach toys for our guests to use.

11) The bungalow comes with full linen service that includes
Sheets and pillow cases for all 5 beds
Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths and bath mat for up to 7 guests
Kitchen tea towels

12) We provide one roll of paper towels and a clean sponge in the kitchen for each new family of guests. We also provide trash bags and dishwasher soap under the sink for all guests.


LOCATION
The walk to the beach is just 2 mins. straight out the font door to the beach. When you arrive at the beach on Martin Street you will find ample parking (if needed), public showers, a port-o-john toilet, and a life guard stand.

Within walking distance of the bungalow you will find two drug stores (CVS & Walgreens), 6 eateries (Dare Devils Pizza, The Bonzer Shack, Food Dudes, 5 Guys, JK’s Steakhouse, and Fuji Steak House) and 17th street surf shop. Within a 3 min. drive you will find 3 grocery stores, Sunsations (for all your beach supplies), and Duck Donuts (a favorite stop of all visitors to the OBX)

Located in Kill Devil Hills, this cottage is by the sea.   • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
