We are so excited to share our new home with you! While we may be new, our local host is very experienced with five stars on all of her properties. She brings that attention to detail and adore of hosting with her:-)

We are dog friendly (one dog and no other family pets) with a entirely fenced yard!

About the home: When you enter the home, you’ll enter into the mudroom, which homes a washer and dryer and assorted beach gear. Off that entry room is the first bedroom, which has bunk beds. There is a double bed, a twin bed and a twin trundle as well as a couch and a TV for the kiddos!

Up the stairs you’ll find the first bedroom on the main floor to your left which has a queen bed, and tons of additional space for a pack and play which is kept in the closet. Straight ahead and off the bedroom is a fully modernized bathroom with bath tub and shower. The bathroom is accessible from the hall and from the bedroom. To your right is the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The kitchen has everything you would need to prepare and serve for six. We have a Kuerig duo and a French press as well as a crock pot, toaster and blender.

Our deck wraps around the front of the home and to the right where we have outdoor seating and a table that seats six as well as a propane grille.

Up the stairs, is the master bedroom which has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower stall and double sinks. There is a alluring deck for two off the master bedroom which looks out onto the backyard. We have plenty of space in our walk-in closet and a dresser as well. There is a modest TV in each bedroom equipped with Roku. We do not have cable, but we do have the fastest Internet available in the Outer Banks.

Last but not least, we have a gorgeous new fire pit in the backyard which works with propane. You’ll find our home has tons of spaces to hang out together but also spaces to hang apart. It is cavernous and peaceful and we hope you savor it as much as we do. ~~~Athena and Kyle

Tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, try shifting your family's Kill Devil Hills trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

How to choose the best vacation rental in the Kill Devil Hills area:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Following Seas - Pup friendly retreat by Sea and Sound! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Kill Devil Hills beach you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
