Sound Pointe has everything you need for the ultimate soundside Outer Banks adventure. This 3-Bedroom, 2.5-Bathroom townhouse offers Screened-In Outdoor Seating overlooking the marsh, promising impressive sunsets and early morning breezes, and two Kayaks for guests to use and just a short walk to the Colington Pointe Community Pool and Sound Access. Appreciate fast and simple trips to the beach as well as a short drive to Kitty Hawk, the Wright Brothers Memorial, and Jockey's Ridge State Park! Sound Pointe promises secluded soundside living while still giving you access to all the best that the Outer Banks has to offer.

Step onto the covered Front Deck before heading inside to the roomy Living Area with high ceilings and sizable glass sliding doors that let natural sunlight and brilliant morning sunrises bask the room in warmth. Watch your favorite shows on the enormous Flat Screen TV before whipping up something delicious in the Kitchen with freshly refreshed cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Eat together in the cavernous, gorgeously decorated Dining Area or get a quick bit at the Counter Bar. Savor a little bit of luxury in the King Master Bedroom with a Custom Master Bathroom where you can freshen up with dual vanities and a granite double shower while the over-sized Laundry makes midweek washes a breeze. Make your way out back to the Screened-In Back Porch for an early morning cup of coffee overlooking the marsh or cool drinks in the evening with a salty breeze and tons of fresh air.

When it's time to get some rest, the Top Level has everything you need. Pass through the Shared Jack-n-Jill Bathroom with a tiled shower to get the additional King Bedroom, keeping everybody close while still having privacy during your stay. Outdoor entertainment and appealing beach adventures await with access to all the unbelievable amenities of the Colington Pointe community including a 50' Saltwater Pool,* a boat/kayak ramp and boardwalk! Grab the kayaks offered by the owners for guest use and get in the water where you can discover this enchanting ecosystem and savor some fun exercise in the meantime! And for some fun in the surf, sand, and sun, the Ocean Bay Blvd. Beach Access with lifeguard, parking, bathrooms, and handicap access is just an 8-min. drive away!

Quiet Community With Ample Attractions
Colington Pointe is a handsome, secluded island community offering gorgeous vistas and ample opportunity for crabbing, fishing, kayaking, and an array of other watersports! Located less than 10 mins. from the main bypass, you are never far from something fun to discover or something good to eat. Try a tasty slice from Colington Pizza (they even deliver!) or sample a crab benedict and mimosa for Sunday brunch at The Saltbox Café. Colington Café is another great place to appreciate the local fare, especially if you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary. If you enjoy cooking at home, stop by Billy's Seafood Market for a fine selection of fresh seafood including everything from shrimp and oysters to mahi-mahi and tuna. While you're out exploring, be sure to stop by the Wright Brothers National Memorial where you can experience an interactive museum about the nation's history of aviation and enjoy a 360-degree view of the surrounding beach as you stand beside the famed monument. There's also a great public bicycle and walking path close by along with dozens of stores and other great activities to ensure your vacation is a blast!

The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Nags Head Woods Preserve, while Wright Brothers National Memorial and Glazin' Go-Nuts are cultural highlights. Sticking to a budget:

• Summertime is high season in Kill Devil Hills. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
• Find a copy of your local Kill Devil Hills area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise.
