More Nighttime Cottage is centrally located in the Outer Banks at MP9, close to eateries, shopping & the beach is just around the corner by 2 fast blocks. Breathtaking sunrises over the ocean are only a few mins. away & a must see at least once during your stay (trust us, it's worth getting up for). One More Nighttime is a newly modernized 4 bedroom 2 bath bungalow in the heart of the Outer Banks. We also have great covered outdoor space under the bungalow for hanging out complete with hammock swings, bar area, hot tub, and a park style grille/smoker just off to the side. A former guest referred to this as the "grille & chill area." It's ideal if you happen to encounter rainy days but still want to be outdoors. There is also an roughly 100 sq ft outdoor shower. Our home is best suited for families, with a max occupancy of 10. No more than 8 adults which requires 2 per bed. Kids are considered to be 12 or under. Anyone 13 or over should be reserved as an adult. No events/events.
Pharmacy, Grocery store, liquor store, & shopping are also all with in 1 mile of the home. Highly desired eateries within walking distance; Mama Kwans, Bonzer Shack, Dare Devils Pizza, Captain George's Seafood, Jack Brown's, Outer Banks Brew Station, Food Dudes, JK's, Noosa, and many more!
Attractions in the area: North Carolina Aquarium, Wright Brothers National Monument, Avalon Pier, Jockey's Ridge, Kitty Hawk Kites, Golf, Charter Fishing, Laser Tag, and more.
Our home and property are stringently for NONSMOKERS. To avoid confusion, this means if anyone in the event smokes/vapes (any substance), DO NOT reserve our home. Violation will result in eviction with no refund and additional charges. Animals/family pets are not allowed.
We receive many requests for early check-in and/or late check-out. It is not always possible to accommodate, but when it is we are happy to do so for an additional charge. Your scheduled check-in time is when you have access to the property. Please do not arrive on site any earlier. The person reserving the home must be staying in the home the entire reservation & is responsible for making sure all other guests know & follow the home rules. No 3rd event booking.
A foot rinsing station, garden hose, and outside shower are available to get cleaned up from your day at the beach. There are hooks in the outdoor shower and a clothes line close by for wet bathing suits and towels. (*The outside water may be turned off during the colder months to prevent pipes from freezing/bursting.)
The home is monitored by a Ring security system complete with door & window sensors and outdoor cameras that monitor our entryways. There are 3 locked interior closets and 1 exterior garage area that are off limits to guests. These areas are also monitored by the Ring system. Breach of these areas will result in eviction with no refund. Doors & windows must remain closed for the HVAC to operate properly. The Outer Banks is a very humid climate. We prefer that our HVAC system be left on to help remove moisture from the home. Please keep doors & windows closed.
We respectfully ask that crafts/activities/projects involving paint, glitter, confetti, glue, water balloons, hair dye, tie dye, or any other potentially messy substance not take place during your stay at our home. Unfortunately, it has become an issue that required mentioning.
We provide sheets, towels, grey makeup remover towels and a modest start up supply of the following: hand soap, dish washing liquid, dish sponge, laundry pods, dish washer tablets, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand lotion and trash bags. Guests must supply the rest as well as their own paper products to include septic safe toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, etc. Only toilet paper should be flushed. Other sanitary items should be disposed of in the trash. If any of our supplied items go unused, feel complimentary to leave them for the next guest to use.
A Stair Tamer cargo/bags lift is available to use during your stay for an additional fee. Only adults may operate the lift. The lift is not safe for people. It is for moving goods only. (1000lb capacity)
Our home has more beds than we can host people. It was set up this way only to allow for flexibility for different families that may stay with us. Do not exceed the max. occupancy of 10 people. Sheets are included and must be put on the bed by the guest. The bunk beds are meant for kids. No one over 100Lbs should be using a top bunk bed. ***Upon check out, please place all dirty linens & towels in the grey laundry baskets which can be found in the closet of the blue bedroom. Baskets can be left in the kitchen floor or in the laundry room. If at all possible, please start at least one load of laundry before you leave. Appliances should be complimentary of crumbs and food residue. This includes the oven. Counters should be complimentary of food residue. All trash should be removed from the home. Dishes should be washed and placed back in their storage locations accordingly. Furnishings should be returned to original location. All doors and windows should be shut and locked. Extra blankets are available for your use but should be washed and returned to their original locations prior to check out. Beach items in the laundry room and storage bin are available for guest use. There are beach chairs & umbrellas, wheeled coolers, and a beach cart. There are also a few spare towels stored in the laundry room. If used, guests should wash & return these towels before checkout. Prompt checkout is a must so we are able to prepare the home for our next guests. Exceeding checkout time will result in additional charges.

Tips and Tricks to get the best Kill Devil Hills vacation home experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Kill Devil Hills. To find the best value, change your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Kill Devil Hills vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies supply Kill Devil Hills area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Kill Devil Hills visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the best rental in Kill Devil Hills:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Updated Oceanside 4BR\/2Bath Saltbox\/HOT TUB\/ walk to the beach\/ MP9 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
