Don't forget the outdoor shower, so you can shower off after a day at the beach!

There are 4 bicycles also available for use in the garage. (2 adult bicycles and 2 kids bicycles).

How to book the best Kill Devil Hills rental experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Kill Devil Hills. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Kill Devil Hills area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Kill Devil Hills visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect vacation home in the Kill Devil Hills area:

  • Choose your dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Pet Friendly Home with Private Tiki Bar - 3-minute drive to the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
