- Private vacation home
This space is freshly refreshed and moderately decorated. This is an extremely comfortable home, that will make it hard to leave. The living room is enormous enough for the whole family to relax and spread out. Two of the three bedrooms are queen sized beds and the master bedroom is a king with attached bathroom. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are located upstairs. Down the steps is the game room with plenty of seating to sit back and relax, ping pong, and a basketball game that has tons of game settings for some fun friendly competition. Outside under the carport is the hot tub and a nice outdoor seating area. Appreciate the hot tub at nighttime, lit by the lights hanging throughout the carport. Also under the carport is the outdoor shower. In the back yard you will find the outdoor wood burning fire pit.

Tips to get the best Kill Devil Hills vacation property experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Book your Kill Devil Hills rental home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Kill Devil Hills vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Selecting the best vacation rental:
- Select vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Goldie St Retreat - Heart of KDH, hot tub, pet friendly, centrally located has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation family.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
