Other things to note

This classic OBX bungalow has a few unique features. There are high beam ceilings throughout the home, however the kitchen ceiling is 6 feet six inches. If there are any taller members in your group this may not be the ideal fit for you.

There is also a studio apartment on the property. This space rents out independently from the home and has a separate entrance. In case you are interested in renting both spaces to sleep additional two guests please let us know!

About the Area

Located in Kill Devil Hills, this vacation home is by the sea. Wright Brothers National Memorial and Glazin' Go-Nuts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Stop-N-Shop Beach Shop and Destination Fun. Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Paradise Fun Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Kill Devil Hills area. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.
