WEEKLY SUMMER SAT-SAT RENTAL 6/15/24— 8/23/24. Classic Outer Banks Saltbox on the "Beach Road" (HWY12) across from the Atlantic Ocean! Our family-friendly bungalow is located at Milepost 6 3/4 in the heart of handsome Kill Devil Hills and within walking or cycling distance to eating, entertainment, fishing, and shopping. A great place for families and friends to savor fun in the sun or BBQ on the striking back deck overlooking the pool and pond.
The deck features a brand new outdoor kitchen with bar and table seating. Catch a game on the outdoor TV or listen to music on the surround sound.
Our Bright Idea was extensively refreshed in Spring 2023 adding a game room with pool table, Master Suite with ensuite bathroom, interior staircase to connect both levels, saltwater pool and patio and much more! Upstairs features a comfortable living area with recliners, sectional couch and loveseat with a Intelligent 55" Television for entertainment. Log into your favorite streaming service using complimentary wifi. A dining area with seating for 10 is adjacent to the well-appointed kitchen and ideal for sharing a meal with friends and family. The kitchen features granite counters, 2 fridges, dishwasher and dining and kitchen silverware necessary to prepare a feast!
3 Bedrooms and 2 Baths upstairs. The master features a queen size bed , ensuite bathroom with walk-in tile shower and patio access. A 2nd upstairs bedroom features a queen bed while the 3rd has one twin bed and a pyramid bunk. All bedrooms equipped with ceiling fans and SmartTV. Downstairs features 2BR and 1Bath and washer and dryer. Master Bedroom has Queen size bed while 2nd BR has Bunkloft with full-size bed on bottom and twin on top. Appreciate a game of pool in the game room or watch your favorite show on the Intelligent TV.
Our property overlooks a handsome pond to relax and admire or cast a line and catch some fish! The brand new saltwater pool is fun for the whole family and is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and lighting. 2 outdoor showers are located downstairs for a exhilarating rinse after a day in the sand. Beach equipment (buckets, chairs, umbrella, croquet, body boards, beach balls) is located in the outside downstairs closet for your convenience!
Reservations require minimum 3-nighttime stay. We welcome all inquiries and prefer to rent to those individuals age 25 and over. Linens (bed sheets and bath towels for 13) are supplied for a fee and not optional. Comforters are supplied for each bed as well as additional blankets for your comfort. You will need to bring your own beach towels for your stay. Each event is supplied with one roll of toilet paper and paper towels upon arrival.

Check-In is anytime after 4:00p.m. on the designated date and check-out is by 10:00 a.m.

About the Area

Located in Kill Devil Hills, this cottage is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Kitty Hawk Woods Reserve, while Glazin' Go-Nuts and Wright Brothers National Memorial are cultural highlights. Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Paradise Fun Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
