3 MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH!! Our home is named “PADI-SHACK” after the Professional Association of Diving Instructors...the owners are avid scuba divers and we adore to share our experiences with our guests. Our guests often like to go out to the shipwreck with us and we savor being "tour guides". And, we have MANY friends that we have acquired over the years who are here for enormous parts of the summer. You'll be welcomed into the "family"....and YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Padi-Shack has three bedrooms, two baths, and a screened in porch just off the kitchen. There are ocean vistas from the upper decks, and there is a gorgeous ground level deck with patio furnishings and an OBX style swing. The owners don’t live far away and we will do anything we can to make this your best vacation EVER!

PLEASE NOTE...we do not supply linens or paper products. A full week (Saturday to Saturday) is required during prime time rental periods. Off season check-ins and visits are
very flexible, requiring a minimum of only 2 nights!

WE REQUIRE KNOWING THE AGES OF ALL PARTIES THAT WILL BE VISITING! WE HAVE NEIGHBORS THAT LOOK AFTER OUR HOME. IF YOU ARE OF HIGH SCHOOL AND/OR COLLEGE AGE, YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE ACCOMPANYING YOU THAT ARE ABOVE THE AGE OF 30 YEARS OLD! NO EXCEPTIONS.

You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Kill Devil Hills restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.   • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
