The oceanside location means you'll be just a short walk to Asheville Drive public beach access - less than 500 feet from the home! After a day of fun in the sun, come home and relax in the comfortably furnished great room with wood floor and a coastal-inspired color palette. The 9' ceilings and an open-concept layout make the space feel bright and airy. When you're not dining out, prepare meals at home in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and bar seating for two. At the end of the nighttime, getaway to the top-level primary suite with king bed and spa-like private bath.
Downstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms and a second full bath. There's also a cavernous den with pull-out couch that can be used as an additional hangout space or for alternative sleeping arrangements. Grab a chilled bottle from the wine refrigerator and relax on the covered patio. This comfortable outdoor getaway overlooks a lush and barefoot-friendly lawn ideal for kids, family pets and yard games.

Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Kill Devil Hills attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Kill Devil Hills area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Kill Devil Hills visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the best vacation home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Pets OK has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Kill Devil Hills rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
