The oceanside location means you'll be just a short walk to Asheville Drive public beach access - less than 500 feet from the home! After a day of fun in the sun, come home and take a calming soak in the bubbly hot tub. Inside, a comfortably furnished great room features wood floor and a coastal-inspired color palette. The 9' ceilings and an open-concept layout make the space feel bright and airy. When you're not dining out, prepare meals at home in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and bar seating for two. At the end of the nighttime, getaway to the top-level primary suite with king bed and spa-like private bath.
Downstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms and a second full bath. There's also a roomy den with pull-out couch that can be used as an additional hangout space or for alternative sleeping arrangements. Grab a chilled bottle from the wine refrigerator and relax on the covered patio. This comfortable outdoor getaway overlooks a lush and barefoot-friendly lawn ideal for kids, family pets and yard games.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is high season in Kill Devil Hills. To book the best rental within budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Kill Devil Hills restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Kill Devil Hills vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Kill Devil Hills area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select vacation week and spending budget.
- Pets OK has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, email the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a certain Kill Devil Hills attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- At Check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
