All 3 bedrooms feature comfortable beds and desks/workspaces ideal for distance schooling or working from home.
The ground floor features access to the backyard and the pool, a foosball table, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities, as well as another nook with a table and stool that can serve as a 4th desk in the home for work or school needs.

This is a very safe but busy neighborhood full of year-round residents as well as visitors, dogs, and kids. Walk and bicycle on the paved public, multi-use path that runs along the sound side with gazebos and public accesses.
The beach is a 15-min. walk or 8-10 min. bicycle ride to the nearest public beach access with light and crosswalk across the main road and lifeguard station in season. Putt-putt, go-carts, a produce stand, ice cream, a coffee shop, and numerous eateries are located within walking or cycling distance.

Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:
When to book a Kill Devil Hills rental & When to go:
- Summer time is high season in the Kill Devil Hills area. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Kill Devil Hills vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies supply Kill Devil Hills area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Kill Devil Hills visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking your prefect Kill Devil Hills vacation home:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Private Pool??????? Hot Tub? Walk or Bike to Beach????Soundview, Privacy Fence has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Kill Devil Hills rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- If there's a specific Kill Devil Hills destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or applied to your agreement.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
