Totally remodeled ground level surf shack apartment located conveniently on the Beach Road in Kill Devil Hills yet literally a stone throw away from the Kitty Hawk line! View the surf and sand from inside your bungalow apartment kitchen & living rooms! Skip across the road to private beach access! Knotty pine throughout in this 1955 year old one of a kind space! Painless access to all the OBX has to offer!
The space
This space adopted a Green Turtle - Travel with Purpose when you stay with us and assist in global efforts to help save this impressive endangered species! No steps to contend with! Covered porch and propane grille greet you at the entrance which leads into full size kitchen and dining area for four. Cavernous living room with intelligent TV, huge L-shaped leather couch! Two bedrooms with closets & ceiling fans plus your own controlled AC/Heat in every room! One king bed and one queen! One full bath with tiled shower!
Enough parking for 1 car preferably.
If your group is bigger then 4 there are two other spaces that are available to be rented separately! Inquire with your host if you are interested in these spaces as well!
Guest access
Everything in your space is for your enjoyment including the propane grille and outdoor hose at entrance. Inside is all yours except for the locked owners closet.
Other things to note
One bath towel, wash cloth, beach towel, and beach chair included per person !
Private beach access for all Pelican guests is directly across from driveway.
Nearest public beach access is Arch St!
About the Area
Located in Kill Devil Hills, this cottage is on the beach. Wright Brothers National Memorial and Glazin' Go-Nuts are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Monument to a Century of Flight and Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse. Paradise Fun Park and Children at Play Museum are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
