StayHereOBX is a freshly refreshed beachfront bungalow located on “the beach road” in Kill Devil Hills. You will appreciate exceptional ocean vistas and amazing sunrises in a peaceful yet central location. You are just steps to the sand with painless beach access, at a great OBX surf spot.
Take a short walk to local stores and eateries like Ashley’s Coffee, Mom’s Sweet Shop, Brew Thru, as well as fun activities like mini-golf and go-carts. Linens, beach supplies, grille, WiFi, and much more are supplied.
StayHereOBX is a 936 sqft bungalow designed for families and friends to come together to relax, have fun, and make memories. You will enter the clean, mid-century modern beach bungalow through a comfortable sunroom. The open-style floor plan includes kitchen, dining, and living spaces so that everybody can be included. The humongous picture window looks out to the ocean. You will have 3 bedrooms including two (2) queens and one (1) full under a single bunk bed. All beds are topped with memory foam to keep you cozy while you sleep. The primary bedroom’s en-suite bathroom has a shower, while the hall full bath has a tub as well. Keep your windows open to let the crashing waves lull you to sleep.
The kitchen is equipped with a brand-new stove and refrigerator, as well as a microwave, dishwasher, and everything else necessary to prepare food at home while you stay. There is also a Keurig coffee machine that makes both individual cups and full pots. We are still working on getting water to the refrigerator, so you will have to use the ice trays instead of the ice maker.
Outside you savor four Adirondack chairs and a table on the deck. You will also find a gas grille next to a picnic table for outdoor eating. Appreciate two hammocks and an additional outdoor shower to hose off all that beach sand. In the storage area, you will find beach accessories and a new washer + dryer for you to use while visiting. This area has not yet been remodeled but it is in the plans to be ready for the 2025 season.
We provide bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels. There is a Pack n Play, new 2023 season. Beach chairs, toys, a wagon, and an umbrella. The starter kit includes paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, trash bags, and hand soap. Each bathroom is equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We have a Intelligent / Cable TV in the living room. Each bedroom has a Intelligent TV for streaming, including the cable app, but no direct cable. You can hook up your Netflix or Amazon account if you wish. For music, we have a Bose speaker and instructions for use at the home.
About the Area
Located in Kill Devil Hills, this vacation home is near the beach. Outer Banks Mall and Scarborough Lane Shoppes are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Outer Banks Beaches and Kitty Hawk Woods Reserve. Paradise Fun Park and Children at Play Museum are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with jet skiing and kayaking nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and cycling.
