Appreciate a short walk to watch the most extraordinary sunsets over the sound waters of Kitty Hawk Bay, only 500 yards away. You can also appreciate a multi use path that runs through the soundside of town, ideal for bicycle riding, morning runs, evening walks, and beautiful water vistas.

Welcome to Cherie's Place, a two story, freshly constructed, bespoke vacation home centrally located in Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks.
When you walk inside, you are greeted by a wine cooler and wet bar, the ideal start to your vacation! The entry level has a full bathroom with stand up shower, den/additional living area with pull out couch and laundry area.
Upstairs is where the main living area is with flat screen TV, dining room, entirely outfitted kitchen, deck access, bedroom with Queen bed, full hall bath, bedroom with King bed, and Master King Bedroom.
Outside at Cherie's Place you can savor sitting on the decks watching the sunset, seeing a morning sunrise, a calming outdoor shower, or an evening drink on the outdoor patio set.
We adore furry friends at Cherie's Place but only allow 1 dog or 2 modest dogs. Please send us a message if you have questions about your pet. There is a non returnable pet fee of $125. Please indicate if you will be bringing a pet when booking.
Linens and towels are supplied in the cleaning price. There is one set of sheets for each bed and full towel set (bath towel, hand towel and washcloth) per person the home sleeps.

Located in Kill Devil Hills, this cottage is by the sea. Glazin' Go-Nuts and Wright Brothers National Memorial are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Avalon Fishing Pier and Paradise Fun Park. Traveling with kids? Consider Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf, or check out an event or a game at Full Throttle Speedway. Jet skiing, kayaking, and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling nearby.

When to book a Kill Devil Hills rental home & When to go:
- Summer months are high season in Kill Devil Hills. Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Kill Devil Hills area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.

Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is right for your vacation family.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
During your stay:

- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
