American Pie is an Outer Banks Pizza drive-in on the beach road in Kill Devil Hills. We’re located at mile post 9.5 across from the Ramada (not to far from Nags Head). Generations of Flavor on the Outer Banks

Miller’s Seafood and Steakhouse first opened its doors in 1978, and over the decades it has grown into one of the most respected and beloved dining experiences on the Outer Banks. Today, the restaurant is driven by Brian Miller, a seasoned restaurant innovator who has spent more than 30 years refining the Seafood and Steakhouse experience and setting new standards for quality, consistency, and hospitality.

Brian worked hard to take over the family business and has dedicated his career to elevating both Miller’s Seafood and Steakhouse and American Pie. He brings a hands-on, detail-focused approach to every aspect of the operation. Whether he’s developing new dishes, collaborating with local fishermen and suppliers, or implementing fresh ideas that keep the restaurants evolving with the times, his motivation is simple: deliver the best food and the best experience, every single day. “Throughout the summer, we’re feeding around 2,000 people a day in our two restaurants. It’s a challenge we embrace every season, and we get a lot of fulfillment from making it all work.”

Supporting this vision is his wife and business partner, Beth Miller. While Brian drives culinary innovation and daily operations, Beth works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure smooth management, strong team culture, and the signature warmth that guests associate with the Miller’s name. Together, the Millers form a balanced, dedicated leadership team committed to excellence in every detail. “We put a lot of time and effort into ensuring the products we bring in are top-notch,” Miller says. “Our customers know that when they visit our restaurants, they’ll be getting the quality and consistency they’ve come to know and love.”

Under their direction, Miller’s has become an OBX favorite. Recognized for its consistent quality, modern coastal flavors, and inviting, family-friendly environment, guests enjoy fresh, locally caught seafood, high-quality Angus beef, house-made pastas, and scratch-made desserts.
